Cohen's theory (1987) about the moral panic and how moral panic causes a worried and anxious society reflects the London riots this is because through the selection of mediation the dominant middle class have chosen to organise specific clips of the youth from the police force's point of view. The representation that they have made show youths as very violent and out of control as they are vandalising a police car. These representation link with the argument that Cohen has made relating to the 'Folk devils' stereotyping the youths to be danger  towards the general public.
